I had the pleasure of experiencing MGMT LIVE in Birmingham in the UK the

Not only did their live show ROCK, but they were incredibly
cute…errr…kewl lads.

We bonded over our love for Shuggie Otis, The Brothers Johnson and Bone
Thugs-N-Harmony.

My Nail Art Obsession….

For about the last 2 years I’ve had an addicting obsession with nail
art and design…

Call it “Ghetto-fab” of me but yo, I’ve seen some artists who need to
have their ish in museums…

Japan is known for some of dopest hand painted nail art and I was on a search.

Here’s my Union Jack Joints and check out some more I picked up in Tokyo below!

Post pictures if you have seen any dope designs yourselves!!

(May be cheddar, but i cant help but to sing  “Gotaa  nails duuunn up,
andaaa fingaaahnails to match” while posting this… lol.)

What do you think?????

Yes We Did!!!

Long Lines Can’t Stop us….

I admit, voting with the absentee ballot has been a gift and a curse…..

but I know some cats who have waited 8 hours for a new pair of shoes

and some chicks who waited in long ass lines for Sex and The City tickets.

So do the same for the person who will help mold our future!!!!!

I performed  on the Paul O Grady show today and spoke a little about it:)

The traveling diaries of a new/old/glamorous/ruffn-it/major-label/single mommy/soul/blues/”I miss my damn food” artist!

So, for those of ya who dont know, I am currently on tour overseas.

I just finished the my leg of supporting the amaaazing Alicia Keys (whadda nice/kewl/dope/beautiful chica) and now I’m moving on to headline some club dates of my own!

Started off in Berlin (Hot mess show:( bad sound, bad clothes) both straps on my dress popped off, almost had a nipple-gate moment. :( (Lawd help me, bad vibe period) BUT what I will say is the whole thing was a greeeaat experience!

me at the Berlin wall

I just HAD to literally jump out of the tour bus to touch it ( hint the sweats and my road mgr’s classic southern boy “socks and nikes”
move. )

The ghost of the angel in front of my first arena venue O2 Berlin (shiz when I was 15 dont count, lol….:)

Still making my adjustments to big arenas.

Trying to introduce 30 minutes of new music (Minus the MGMT and Kanye cover mashup)  while keeping the crowd involved while I cant see shit (Why the bright ass spotlight?) has been new for me.

I wont even cry “woe is me” because whaaadda suuuuuuuuuper opportunity I am so grateful for.

BUT…. I have to say I’m pretty stoked about the club dates too!

The one in Paris went ammmmaaazing and I’m looking forward to continuing the intimacy of the smaller venues and the freedom to jump off stage!

(That’s a wholeee other story…. I got in trouble for jumping off stage a few times:(…guess that’s the new rule in the “2008 Ways To Take the Fun Out of Fucking Rock&roll” Hand Guide)

Anywho…. I’ve included some pics along the way:) also and some footage from the fun Paris show!

@rt

So Momma Tina is actually a dope art collector.

When I was young, I’d get drilled about the importance of feeding myself with trips to the museum as much as feeding myself with trips to the mall.
(goooooood looking ma:)

To my surprise, on a recent trip to the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston to see the Damien Hirst exhibit, I ran across this dope piece that really moved me called Elegant Garveyite…. from the collection of……

TINA KNOWLES !!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m very proud…..

(Dont try this at home: ghetto ass, not supposed to be taking flicks in the museum…..oops!….. but really, I just HAD too!)
