?uestosphere

• Treats from ?uesto! The Philadelphia Experiment, aka Christian McBride on Bass, Uri Crane on Keys, and ?uestlove on drums, got together for a special live performance, the first in years, at Bonnaroo. Here’s an insider snippet of their 2:30am Sunday Morning jam, “Grover.” ?uesto also hints that there may be a live record coming your way in the future. And remember kids, play by the rules (ahhhem, no sharing)!

• Brand new Allhiphop interview with ?uestlove. He talks about The Roots‘ 10th album (in the works right now), referring to it as “the synth record.” Brian Eno watch out!

• Watch Superjam trio John Paul Jones, Ben Harper, and ?uestlove get busy. After you read about ?uest’s crazy week, peep the two vids at the bottom. Then look at the ? photo (him and pops!) and take note- the afro’s been around since day 1.

New MUSIC!

• Consequence brings you Beyonce’s “Sugar Mama Remix”. Also, his 4th and final video comedy sketch (created from the 4 skits on his album) is up now. Watch “Good News” webisode #4.

• Heard the new White Stripes album yet, Icky Thump? What about The Super Chron Flight Brothers, or the Soul Resurrection album? Oh, you didn’t know? It’s because you haven’t been checking out The Reviews!

Events.

• NYC, after your weekend of Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival maddness, come watch Martin Luther do his thing in NYC for Black Music Month. On Monday he’s at the Apple Store in Soho (Free!), and Tuesday he’s got a full-blown show at S.O.B.s.
