BHF Recap, Black Thought interview and song w/ Planet Asia prod by Evidence & The Alchemist, New Little Brother.
Tanya Morgan X 1/2 Kidz in The Hall
• The 3rd Annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Fest has come and gone with the grand finale event this past Saturday. And what a beautiful day it was down under the BK bridge with performances from: Blitz, Poison Pen, Pack FM, Kidz In The Hall, Tanya Morgan (pictured above at the Okayplayer booth), Emily King, El Michels Affair, Skillz, Large Pro, Dres, Cons, Sean P and The BCC, and of course the headliner Ghostface.

• Photos & Video. Big (s)Mell was in the building, per usual, and here is a link to his photos. OKP vet MadWriter was also seen snapping ‘em off. To get an idea of the crowd and atmosphere, peep the video of Ghostface and clan doing their ODB tribute.

• Even we were surprised to see this interview with Black Thought pop up from thaFormula.com. OKP JtothaI said it, it’s not very often one has the luxury of The Roots’ enigmatic front man taking one question, let alone a whole series. Just make sure he doesn’t go “Over Your Head” with his answers (new Black Thought and Planet Asia produced by Evidence and The Alchemist).

• Calling all arm-chair-A&R’s, get your keyboards ready, the newest joint from Little Brother has hit the boards and it’s called “Good Clothes.”

• The Fader mag gives us a recap and photos from Chrisette Michele’s album release party last week in New York. Get it on their blog.

• A special thanks and shout to The Room Service and Brooklyn Bodega crews for once again throwing an amazing festival (plus events leading up) and for showing Okayplayer mad love!
