I don’t know about you but I’m a Dilated Peoples fan. I remember nodding my head to “Work The Angles” before even realizing who I was listening to. Banging beats, original flows, and one of the best turntablists in the world holding it together = Hip Hop. I watched the 90 minute film last night and it is an extremely well executed piece telling the story of three guys from LA who are fully dedicated to their craft and culture. If you are a Dilated fan, there is no way around owning this. If you love Hip Hop and “behind the music” style stories, this documentary holds up to the highest set standards. If you are simply interested in filmography, Jason Goldwatch’s direction and style is a case study in attention to detail.
