Ledisi Let’s Us See Tomorrow, We Like The Noisettes & M.I.A., The Roots Rock Dave Mathews Band Land.
Tomorrow, we’re trying to tell you, is Ledisi’s day. So get your Soul on while you wait for D’angelo.
Yeah, we found about The Noisettes this summer from our friends at CMJ. Keep your late passes in your pockets, pitchforkees, and newbies mark your calendars to catch this high energy trio live this September.
Since we’re already over there, why not see what people are saying about the new album from M.I.A., also receiving wide spread acclaim. The ever so critical “dro” gave it a 4.5/5 in Okayplayer reviews. Will mofos stop requesting “inbox” and go buy some shit already? Damn…
The Roots just got back from two nights at Alpine Valley with Dave Mathews Band. Word is ?uesto joined in during DMBs set the first night while Black Thought and Capt. Kirk blessed the stage the second night. Gingerlynn was there and has photos and details for us later this week. Highvoltage, start tapping those tape trees!
Friend and annually featured OkayPhotographer Mike Schreiber just relaunched his Web site and its hot like fiya. OUCH!
Lupe Fiasco is back on the boards and he’s got a message for YOU.
I sorta liked that 50 hated everyone, but now I am just confused. What the hell was he even doing on that stage, besides running around in circles like he had a target on his back. Now Page Six reports that the “bogus bombast” over which Sept. 11 releases (Ye V 50) will outsell the other, ended over vodka shots last Wednesday night at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club, with Jay-Z, Puffy and T.I. acting as witnesses. BOOO! We want Wrestling.
Sike, we could really care less. That Screamfest at MSG did sound like a crazy concert though. We’re routing for Kanye but our money’s on 50. Man, that was weird…
