2 New From Nas in ‘07, Greg Tate Is Here, Skillz & Common Keep Diaries, Truck’s Northern Exposure, Contest Winners!
I told myself that I wasn’t going to mention either of those two dudes until the official numbers are in on Wednesday morning, but I have to link to Greg Tates rebuttal to my claims that “Kan can rap” where Greg distinguishes between “The MC” versus “The Monologuist.” Very valid points indeed. I suppose I just feel that it’s the overall impressiveness of Ye’s journey thus far and his will that make him exciting in different ways than what we are typically used to from the greatest rappers.
NAS, for instance. Last week MTV reported that one of rap’s true legends would drop a new album before the year’s end in addition to a greatest-hits LP in November. They ask all the right questions so if you love Nas like we do, make sure you read that.
Skillz is keeping a daily diary while on the road with the VH1 Hip Hop Honors Tour. We have more entries to post but are waiting to see if we might get some photos (or video) to go with them. Stay tuned later today.
