“There are too many gateseses”
Holy shite! It’s taking me so long to write this update ‘cuz I can’t stop reading all this isht on our boards (crack kills, btw). “There are Too many gateseses” (c) OKP Bridgetown. I’ve been doing this site for almost 8 years (its one of my worst habits to bring up my tenure) and yo, it is still not always easy trying to understand what the hell is going on around here. The boards are a shark tank and even though there isn’t anything any of y’all can say to me at this point (um, I think), it’s best advised to be sure before hastily clicking any submit buttons.
To set things off, we have what has now been dubbed (ala ?uest) as “Fiascogate” and even MTV.com has stepped in to give a play-by-play. (Can a Web site get a hyper-link? damn) Then, the next big (non)controversy, well, if you really care (and have the time), just go to GD and sort by views or replies. It’s the end of a long week so killing time feels good.
We’ve got new (and chalk full) entries from “R.I.K.” and “Blogarhythms” below so I am going to make this real brief. Jay-Z’s video for “Blue Magic” has hit the Web and no matter how average (for Hov) the song may be, it seems damn near impossible not to love the guy. Nice video. Also hitting the web yesterday, Little Brother’s Get Back. Phonte says “hope you like it.” We’ll say it from us and him, hope you BUY IT. There are four new reviews added that all received scores of 4 from artists Custom Made, LVX Collective, Broken Social Scene Presents Kevin Drew, and Pato Banton. Need more new music and discourse, there is nothing hot or new that’s not being covered here. Just be careful you don’t get hooked.
