Common took home two awards at Saturday night’s BET Hip-Hop Awards where he won “Lyricist of the Year” and tied (tied??) very-likely to be incarcerated rapper T.I. for “CD of The Year” (CD?? not Album?). How do you tie someone at one of these award shows? I could maybe see if we were talking about the two hands-down most unbelievable and undeniable projects but people weren’t even really feeling that T.I. record. Big ups to Common!
