Kweli & Fam Do Rap City All Week, BlacksmithTV Episode 1, Saul Williams’ Radiohead Style Release, LB Tour, & More.

• As reported here last week, Brooklyn MC(EO) Talib Kweli is hosting BET’s ‘Rap City’ (airing 5 PM EST/PST) all this week so set your DVR’s, people. He’s got a few OkayGuests with him as well, peep the schedule:

Yesterday - Hi-Tek & Mad Lib w/ DJ Chaps
Today - Pete Rock
Wednesday - Common
Thursday - 9th Wonder, Jean Grae & Erykah Badu
Friday - Strong Arm Steady

• While you wait for 5pm, Episode 1 of Kwe’s Blacksmith TV is finally here. You don’t want to miss this, it’s called “Brooklyn’s Changed” and it features appearances from Kwe’s Mom, Supernatural, M-1, and more.

• Moving on, hot off the presses is this new video from Planet Asia for his song “F*ck You Up” feat. Krondon from S.A.S. crew. It is safe to say, Krondon has one of the illest voices in Hip Hop.

• Everyone on the site is talking about Saul Williams and hisTrent Reznor produced album, The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust, being offered up Radiohead style. Honestly, I haven’t checked it out yet but have only heard great things so far. Check the official site for more info and I’m gonna do the same .

• The Little Brother tour dates have been updated with more venues as they continue to burn down stages across the country. Check it out and mark your calendars, you don’t want to miss them or Evidence.

• I’ve listened to both albums and as much as I don’t like to compare artists as they clearly are very different, I find LB’s Get Back better than Jay-Z’s American Gangster as a whole. You decide as we offer up more of our opinions on Spank Rock & Benny Blanco, Soulja Boy, Iller Than Theirs, Goldenchild, and Oscar G in Okayplayer reviews.
