• On Saturday, OkayArtist and dead prez’s own M1 performed in Washington, D.C. as part of the Hip Hop Caucus’ “Stop Hate Crimes and Police Violence” youth national rally and concert at the Washington Monument, Sylvan Theater. The rally was designed as part of an ongoing effort to end hate crimes and police brutality. Read the full story on AllHipHop.

• Also OKnoteworthy from AllHipHop, the story of legendary Hip-Hop collective The Juice Crew is coming to the silver screen in a new movie titled “The Vapors.” The film is inspired by the true life events of DJ Marley Marl, Biz Markie, Big Daddy Kane and Roxanne Shante and chronicles the group’s rise to fame during Hip-Hop’s golden age. Part of the film’s drama will most undoubtedly be fueled by details surrounding two of Hip-Hop’s earliest and most legendary feuds, The Bridge Wars (MC Shan and the Juice crew VS BXMC KRS-One and his Boogie Down Productions) and The Roxanne Wars. “The Vapors” is being directed by Furqaan Clover and is scheduled to start filming in January of 2008. • Kanye West kicked off his European tour in Paris on Saturday making his first public appearance since his Mother’s sudden passing a week ago. When going into “Hey Mama” he had an understandable break down and stopped the show. He than came back finishing the set with “Stronger” while repeatedly shouting out to the audience ‘I need you … I need you right now.” For the full story and heartbreaking video, click here.
