• ‘Tis the season for giving and with just two weeks left in the year there is one gift we can look forward to, the now annual event that is Skillz‘ year end “Rap Up.” This year’s version is rumored to come wrapped in silver (screen) lining. That being said, the song is done earlier than in years past. Unfortunately we aren’t allowed to say more about the wrapping and as much as I’m probably not allowed to say this either, the track was produced by Bink and is said to be the most offensive to date. WOW. Check back later this week for the Rap Up Round Up, 2003-2006.

• Speaking of year in review, today is the last full day to place your votes in the 2007 Okayplayer Music Awards where YOU chose the winners from our list of nominees. Get to clicking as voting ends tomorrow at Noon EST.

• Last week, we gave you the heads up about Amanda Diva being featured on MySpace. Well, the girl is shuttin’ thangs down! It’s early and today she’s already received over 200,000 plays from her new album, Life Experience, available on iTunes tomorrow. We had a hard time trying to single out just one of her many joints, but “Windows Over Harlem,” (for all the uptowners out there), should set your Monday off right. OKP’s interview with the Diva will post tomorrow.

• Erykah Badu is bringing shalom and hair grease to Tel Aviv, Israel on February 2nd, as part of her worldwide tour for the release of New Amerykah. For one night only, you (or your international cousins) can catch her killing the stage at the Tel Aviv Convention Center. E is shooting the video for “Honey” with friend and former collaborator Chris Robinson at the end of this week.

• Censorship, bullying, and “propaganda message mangling,” make M.I.A. sound off to the cyber-space haters in all-caps. In a letter to fans posted on Brooklyn Vegan today, the rising international star vented about the drama surrounding the making of her new video, “Paper Planes,” during which the powers that be forced a G-rated film interpretation of the message-laden, gunshot-poppin’ hit for American viewers. Peep the letter for the uncensored version and read more about the alleged sabotage.

We’re not lazy, girl.
… call me =)
