• FWMJ has his finger prints all over today’s home page update (scroll down after the news for ’08’s first installment of Rappers I Know). As previously reported, Frank teamed up with Jean Grae & 9th Wonder to draw up 4 different album covers for their soon to drop Jeanius album on Blacksmith / Warner Bros. Each cover spoofs classics hand selected by Jean from Public Enemy, Black Sheep, Raekwon, Das Efx. The different covers will represent the North American, International, and respective digital releases. Discuss.

Jean Grae & 9th Wonder - “Love Thirst”

• The video “Love Thirst” is getting shot at the end of this month and is said to be “saixy, just in time for Valentines day.” Reportedly, there will be two other videos for songs “Think About Me” and “#8,” each being shot in February. Just when okayplayer couldn’t fear more for Jean, we caught wind of the concept for these videos. Lastly, the follow up to Jeanius has apparently been renamed from Prom Night due to a movie of the same name coming out in April. We aren’t allowed to speak of the new title. That album will be followed by the Phoenix. It looks like Erykah Badu isn’t the only OkayArtist with three albums in the hopper.

• While you wait, get your Blacksmith Music fix from MTV in episode 813 of MADE where a lanky white boy named Colin (aka Colt 45) from the burbs of Boston gets a six-week crash course in rapping from none other than Talib Kweli & Jean Grae. It aired for the first time Saturday and re-airs again today and Wednesday. Check your listing for times OR watch it in full on MTV’s web site.
