Big Boi Ballet, Jill Scott’s Sexy Support, Save Hip Hop’s Crib, Jeanius Cover Details, Winehouse’s New Look.
What up, Gotty
• It appears as if Outkast’s Big Boi is going from microphone checker to bonafide ballerina. Well, sort of. This April, the Atlanta Ballet is twinkling its toes to beat of “The Way You Move” and “Bombs Over Baghdad” in the world premiere of big choreographed by Lauri Stallings. For only six shows at ATL’s Fabulous Fox Theatre, you can catch Big Boi and the Purple Ribbon Entertainment crew rocking alongside the southern dance troupe. Hmm…this sounds kind of interesting.

• Jill Scott can now add lingerie designer to her running list of accomplishments. It was announced yesterday that Jill’s firm, J Heather Inc., signed a deal with Ashley Stewart Stores to produce “The Butterfly Collection by Jill Scott,” a line of sexy (yet comfortable) undergarments for plus-sized mamas designed by Ms. Scott herself. Jill’s makin’ that paper in ’08 and we aint mad.

• On Monday we hipped you to the four different album covers for Jean Grae and 9th Wonder’s Jeanius album which pay tribute to classics from Public Enemy, Black Sheep, Raekwon, & Das Efx. Okayplayer got the scoop on the exact purpose for each. PE will be used for the domestic (US) release, Black Sheep for international, Raekwon for digital, and Das Efx for vinyl. Word.

• Let us bring you up to speed on the real estate battle going on in the Bronx over the fate of 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, the housing project known for giving birth to hip hop back in ’73. The owner plans to remove the building from its affordable housing program, handing it over to private investors and blasted gentrification. DJ Kool Herc and Senator Charles Schumer have stepped in to help residents take control and preserve the property as a national landmark, but they need your help! Click here for more info.

• We love the OkayArtists for the hotness that they bring to our stereos, but goddamn! Amy Winehouse needs a hug, or a sandwich, or maybe even a black veil Michael Jackson-style. If you’re a regular on the hateration blogs you’ve already seen these eye-numbing paparazzi shots, but if not take a deep breath and click here. Hey, you guys gave her the “Crazier Than a Fish With Titties” Okayplayer Award and unfortunately babygirl is living up to that title. Lawd have mercy.

• Sorry peeps, Consequence’s video for “The Good, the Bad, the Ugly” (featuring Kanye West) along with a new journal entry has been delayed once again until TOMORROW. Sorry for leading you on but we promise for reals this time.
