Dilla Remembered World Wide, Grammy Summary OkayStylee, Roots 6th Annual Jammy Recap Pt. 1, More.

• It went down over the weekend with both the 50th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles and tributes to the great J Dilla all over the world. The good people at Rare Form along with a list of talent and media partners put together yet another off-the-chain Donuts Are Forever celebration. The 2nd Annual event honored the legacy of Dilla and raised money for Lupus. • The two artists to take the most nominations did extremely well with Amy Winehouse taking home five including
Record Of The Year and Kanye West walking away with four including Best Rap Album (watch his acceptance speech). Both stars gave captivating performances and were the most entertaining of the evening. For a third time in four years Kanye saw Album Of The Year slip through his fingers while Amy missed out on sweeping 6 for 6 when Herbie Hancock surprisingly won for his River: The Joni Letters.

• Other winners of note include: Lupe Fiasco featuring Jill Scott who won Best Urban/Alternative Performance for “Daydreamin’,” Common featuring Kanye West who won Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group for “Southside,” Angelique Kidjo who won Best Contemporary World Music Album for Djin Djin, Mark Ronson who deservedly won Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical, and even Barak Obama who earned a trophy for Best Spoken Word Album for his audio book. • This year’s Roots Annual Grammy Jam Session went down this Saturday at LA’s Key Club and it was all it was cracked up to be… and a bag o’ chips. Highlights include Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump doing The Police, Seal taking the stage to perform Bowie and Hendrix, MC Lyte and Doug E. Fresh, J*Davey, Alice Smith, Raheem DeVaugn singing Marvin Gaye, Corrine Bailey Rae doing Sly and the Family Stone, Bilal killing the stage as usual, and the stunning drum off between ?uestlove and Travis Barker. The party was a star-studded affair with appearances from Prince, Will.i.am, Anthony Mackie, Solange Knowles, Kwame, Brian Cox, Jurnee Smollett, Krondon, Roy Hargrove, MTV’s Sway, and more. • Kentucky’s Cunning Lynguists work the angles with this funny spoof of a Nas commercial for Nas’ n-word album. Then check out this video of God’s Son himself on the red carpet last night where he and his crew wore t-shirts promoting his upcoming album.

• Thursday (Valentine’s Day) we have another World Premiere video from Consequence for his video “Feel This Way” featuring John Legend. It’s a good one and features John Legend’s rapping debut!
