Okayplayer is proud to once again team up with DJ Soul for the third installment in our mixtape series with “Tanya Morgan Is A Rap Group.” The mixtape project is part of the group’s prize after winning the XM/MySpace contest in Vegas at last year’s Power Summit. I ran into Kweli last night who told me he’d be leaving this morning for Houston where they’ll be celebrating Bun B’s birthday tonight at Level Night Club. Tomorrow Blacksmith has a showcase at the SXSW festival in Austin at Auditorium Shores featuring performances from Kwe, Jean Grae, Strong Arm Steady, Res, and Graph Nobel. Hit him up on MySpace to get more tour dates and to hear the “Hostile Gospel” remix.
Two screen shots from Lupe Fiasco’s forthcoming video for “Hip Hop Saved My Life” have been posted. This matters because a) the talented and beautiful Nikki-Jean of Nouveau Riche is in it and b) the song is dope and we look forward to the video.
While we wait for that, Guru and Solaar’s video for “Jazzy Wayz” off their mixtape: “The Timebomb (Back To The Future)” hit the Net yesterday.
