• Rollingstone.com’s “most stylish” group, Kidz In The Hall, recently teamed up with streetwear’s finest, 10Deep, to show off their 2008 Spring line (shout out to Josh & Dante). Having just returned from SXSW (Vimby Video), KITH are gearing up for the release of their sophomore album, The In Crowd (cover), which now has a new street date of 5/13 (pushed back from 4/29). Unlike School Was My Hustle, this album is stacked with guests including: Phonte, Masta Ace, Pusha T (Clipse), Cool Kids, Bun B, Black Milk, Camp Lo, Estelle, Skyzoo, Guilty Simpson, Sean Price, Buckshot, and more. KITH will join Gym Class Heros on nationwide tour next month.

• Maybe you’ve heard it already, but now it’s time to put your moula where your mouth is. Gnarls Barkley’s The Odd Couple, which leaked a short while back, is now available on iTunes and at other online retailers. Initially slated for an April 8th release, the duo decided to push up the release to select outlets yesterday. If you haven’t already peeped, the video for “Run” is bananas and features a cameo from Justin Timberlake who definitely pulls off his role!

• The chatter on the boards is strictly positive words about Lupe’s newest video for “Hip Hop Saved My Life” featuring the lovely Nikki-Jean (you look fantastic girl!!). Watch the vid (featuring cameos from Willie D and Slim Thug) and let us know your thoughts.

• Whatchyouknow about Nikki-Jean anyway? We just got our hands on the new Nouveau Riche album Free Money which we will be releasing here on Okayplayer in the near future. In the mean time, one of Dantana’s favorites is “Sugar Snacks.”

Nouveau Riche - “Sugar Snacks”

• While surfing through Vimby I stumbled across this cool video of Philly’s own DJ Rich Medina. Watch as he takes you on a record shopping excursion and discusses the transition from music selector to producing his own joints.

• KRS One returns with the Boom Bap. Watch his newest video for “Criminal Minded ‘08″ produced by DJ Premier, which was created for the Smirnoff Signature Mix Series. The vid, directed by hip-hop’s new web-video darling Rik Cordero, features KRS and Primo in the studio doing what they do.

• New in reviews we’ve got one of our fave’s, Lizz Wright, who earned four outta five ?uesties for her latest effort The Orchard. Also, peep the review of ex-Antipopper, and self-proclaimed “Ornette Coleman of this rap shit,” Beans, with his newest release Thorns. We’re loving both of these joints and have them up in our steady rotation.

• NYC, tonight the Highline Ballroom hosts a very special benefit concert for producer Scott Harding (Wu-Tang Clan, Vernon Reid, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, PM Dawn, De La Soul, Boogie Down Productions, Brand New Heavies, Prince Paul, Biz Markie, Chubb Rock, Tricky, and many, many more). Scotty was recently in a horrific car accident and is now paralyzed. The benefit this evening will feature performances from John Scofield, John Medeski and Billy Martin, Eric Krasno and Neal Evans (Soulive), Antibalas, Sex Mob, DJ Logic and others, and will go toward paying Scott’s medical bills. If you can’t make the show, think about contributing directly to the cause.

• Philly, this Thursday wind down with some irie vibes at Fluid for the Rice & Peas Reggae party! Celebrate Kenny Meez birthday with Max Glazer, DJ Gravy, and many more. To get you in the mood, download DJ Gravy’s Rice and Peas mixtape 1, the perfect Wednesday afternoon playlist.
