Cool Kids + Roots Picnic, Rising Down Rehearsals Day 2, Plantlife Returns, 88-Keys Arrives, A3C Wrap Up, 2 Videos.

• It’s true, the line up for The Roots Picnic is definitely banging! The Legendary will be performing along with Gnarls B, Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings, Deerhoof, Santogold, J*Davey, Diplo, Experanza and just announced, The Cool Kids! It all goes down in Philly on June 7th, and tickets are slated to go on sale this Friday at 10am. It was also just announced that The Roots will be among the headliners for eight simultaneous free Earth Day 2008 concerts, on April 20th.


Rising Down Rehearsals, Day 2
• Day 2 was hectic. After an all-day rehearsal, The Roots hosted their Philly listening party, a small event that turned into, well.. a huge bash! Drinks, food, and Rising Down blasting from the sound system all enhanced the mood of what felt like hundreds of people smushed into a jam-packed house party. • DECON Report. Our partners in the office have a slew of new projects coming down the pipe. First up, Jack Splash is back with the follow up to his return with Plantlife’s sophomore LP, Time Traveller. The funky album is in stores May 13th.
