Another sensational track off Rising Down, here’s “Rising Up.” This is the last joint on the album and features a verse from Wale and Chrisette Michele on the hook (accompanied by ?uestlove). No, we are not calling this go-go (merely go-go influenced). Yes, we have the FINAL mastered version and we wish you would have waited.

Day 4, and we’re still in the studio in New York City. Today was a clusterf*%$ of press activity, including a live Roots jam for AOL Sessions. With the whole band present, a noticeably more crowded lounge room gave way to jokes all afternoon. The jam was short but insane, including a Roots rendition of “Express Yourself” (did I mention how much I LOVE when BT sings??). Interviews were cut short, and writers forced to speed through questions, as ?uesto had to rush off for a last minute engagement to DJ at Fergie’s birthday party in Vegas! It all worked out as we sent the NY Times writer in the car with him to the airport. All of this is only further proof to my theory that the mighty Afro is, in fact, an alien who does not require sleep. Look for clues in Sol-Exposure’s photo gal from Day 4.
Re-re-re-re-reeeemix! Now that you’ve had some time to sit and spin your copy of Erykah Badu’s New Amerkyah, you know what an addictive listening pleasure it is for those ear buds. Here’s your chance to get in on the music makin’ action. Okayplayer is co-presenting this Remix contest where up and coming producers have the opportunity to remix Badu’s non-album buzz track “Real Thang,” originally produced by Madlib. Download the acappella and go to town! Contest ends April 25th, and the prizes are huge, from a full DJ package from Stanton to professional KRK studio monitors.
This guy Dizzee Rascal has been making a lot of noise on this side of the Atlantic as of late, and for good reason. In this installment of AOL Music’s 16 bars segment, Dizzee blazes Lil Wayne’s “Fireman” beat.
G.O.O.D. Music artist Really Doe has a new joint out featuring Kanye West. It’s called “Plastic”. Not only are they “getting out their dreams” over there but they’ve been flooding the net with music lately.
No shortage of hot music today. This joint off of 9th Wonder & Buckshot’s second collabo album The Formula is a single featuring Talib Kweli and Tyler Woods called “Hold it Down”. The Formula will be in stores April 29th.

And for videos, here’s a new one off of one of my favorite albums of 2007 Below The Heavens “Blu Collar Workers” by Blu & Exile. Pretty dope video, make sure you check it, and go get that album if you slept on it last year.
Consequence just hipped us to this exclusive video of him and Q-Tip“performing at SOB’s” over a Dilla beat. Also check out this interview Quence did on Rosenberg Radio the other night.
