First lemme say I dont get alot of radio/club play, sometimes my record dont apply & I can understand that but I dont care if I had no spins on my record I would never say fuck a dj. No DJ at all, I wouldnt say fuck a DJ that I dont know!! lol It just baffles me how the hottest artist out right now can say Fuck the dj’s!! Where would he be without the DJ tho? Real talk, I hear his records and its always a dj playing it. Be it on the radio, in the club or on a cd. If you hot then DJ’s gon fuck with you but they are part of the reason you hot, its a tag team kinda combo. You rap on everyone’s song (whether they want you to or not) you jump on cats tracks and send em out to the world, wouldn’t you want someone to think its hot enuf to play? So then I heard him on Drama and he said ” Fuck them dj’s”! Niggas takin my music and puttin out CD’s that aint official. Nigga? You rapped on 70 songs that wasn’t official! Alot of these DJ’s are branding you. They making you hot! If a kid grabs a best of cd from the barbershop he bought that for some of your new shit, If I asked him what CD he got he’s gon say yours, not DJ (insert name here) presents you! You gave DJ’s the option to play whatever you made…YOU gave them the option, you rapped on everything. Its crazy how cats do DJ’s after they get to the point that they want to get to. No single, you been rapping over everyone else’s shit for more than a year , you even book shows and do mixtape songs for over a year and right before your album drops its FUCK THE DJ??!?! You said it aint about the money so why would you care if they make a little change on a mixtape or attempt to keep thier name up by formatting and sequencing some of the music that you put out for FREE?? Some of these cats work at a radio station and clock in for two hours a day if that! They gotta hustle( clubs, weddings, parties, mix cds) just like you for the bread but now its fuck them? I’d go rap at a DJ’s daughter’s 8th birthday party ( and do drops while I was there) to make sure I’m in good standing with him/her, cuz as long as I make records Im always going to need them. Even when he called in to clear the shit up he still didnt really. Wow..yall made him the hottest rapper out and he said fuck yall & then said fuck yall again? See how these cats do you? Yall really need to support the artists that support you. Yall have the power to change this shit. I have a new record and album coming out and if I asked a dj if he had my record he could look me in my face and say he doesnt have 1 Skillz record in his Serato & I wouldnt say fuck him! Im scared of what would happen to my career if I did that. But my question is how can you make rap music and say fuck the dj and have a career, thats what the fuck I wanna know.

I say that because a while back KRS1 backed this dude as being hot and I would like to know if he would step to Wayne and explain the lack of wisdom in what he has said. Someone needs to refresh his memory or educate the poor kid that Hip-Hop/Rap started with DJ’s in the BX doing house party’s which is where the MC’s & B-Boy’s culture came to life, but if it wasn’t for them DJ’s doing them house party’s and inviting these MC’s onto the MIC to entertain the crowd there may be no MC’s(Wayne) as we know them today

Actually he limited his commentary to mixtape DJ’s and he later backtracked and said the comment was specifically for The Empire, who put out unauthorized Wayne tapes. I don’t even know how many DJ’s are affiliated with The Empire, but I think he definitely should have dissed just THEM in his initial statement if that’s who he had a problem with. EVERYONE knows Wayne is cool with Drama and Khaled, so anyone who thinks Wayne was really dissing all DJ’s or even all mixtape DJ’s is not giving dude an ounce of credit. He has no public speaking training, obviously he needs it, but the dude is barely sober in half these interviews, so ease off the young guy already…

First of all I am not a wayne stan and can hardly tollerate his babel but I don’t hate him to the point I say he is not a emcee at all. Yes he is a pop rapper the equivalant to hair bands in rock and roll. But all of this is a part of the culture folks forget about like corny stuff that Kurtis Blow and the Fat boys done back in the days. The only difference is the subject matter is drugs,minor/major crime, money and getting laid/brain rather than basketball, the breaks and how much can you eat. Fools need to stop trying to act like we can’t have different types of dudes in this culture to be classified as a part of it. Elitist are just as bad or almost worse than corporations and act as foot soldiers for the viacoms of the world. If you dislike the sound of something and want to protest it don’t listen download or support it, Support your favorite emcees and help them get paid so they can see there is money in their lane and keep making the music you love. Now to answer skillz. You are correct sir the DJ is the corner stone of the culture the keyword in this is DJ. Their are fewer real DJs out there than there are real emcees, hell 90% of these “” Mixtape DJ’s amount to some d-bag with a computer program who screams all over records not a cat who scratches and mixes and works with artists to give you some exclusive shit. At the very least mix some accapellas on some new shit don’t download a bunch of shit off line that everybody can get scream on top of it and call it a mixtape cause it ain’t. The shit don’t even have a them half the time it is just random shit from the #1 artist because that ish sales. Now wayne has gone too far here but can you say publicity stunt. Then his album magically leaks to the internet oh no how could this be he angered the DJ’s and now they are responding yeah right whatever. His effort is not the classic he promised he knew it wasn’t going to do the numbers when Lollipop didn’t burn things out and A milli isn’t burning things down either. So to keep his ish rolling he is going to blame the slow sales on the bootlegging say they destroyed his classic album moment and that he probably can’t have one now due to downloads. Don’t get me wrong he is going to get his money he has too many stans out there not to get his money. But the mixtapes is why he will still get his ish and that is fueled by the Dj so yes his poblicity stunt antics were crazy (i.e. talking out the side of his neck). Or the syrup will kill him like he hopes so he can be as famous as Pac or Biggie.
Bottomline:
1. Wayne don’t deserve this kind of attention because it is like beefing with 50 you feeding the machine. you want to stop the madness stop responding.
2. DJ’s are the cornerstone but most these dudes ain’t Dj’s just hustlers selling poop to fools. They can’t cut mix blend rock a party, beat juggle.
3.Hip-hop eltists shouldn’t be so sensitive.
