okay so last time we checked in it was MONTHS ago. The Hieroglyphics “Freshly Dipped” tour became a (good) monster and we got missing. sorry, but not really. we hit the whole country as well as 5 stops in Canada (the border is a BITCH.) and then we came home. what have we been doing since we all got back….hmm…well ive been doing THIS and a bunch of features, and Tanya Morgan as a collective have been working on “Brooklynati”, our next full length album. look for that in April. okay enough plugging, im not really trying to plug away, im just letting everyone know we’ve been at work. as for that picture up there, thats from last weeks CMJ events. CMJ is usually about a lot of up and coming artists with a few established acts. if you missed CMJ you missed us, 88 Keys, Evidence, Izza Kizza, (peep the decon showcase here), UNI, Pac Division, Blu & Mainframe, PPP, Fresh Daily, Shawn Jackson, Little Brother, Talib Kweli, B.O.B., P Casso, Homeboy Sandman, David Banner, Mickey Factz, Cool Kids, Black Milk, Skyzoo & Torae, and im tired of naming people now (haha) but you missed a lot of music. and a lot of free likka if youre into that sort of thing.
which brings me to the reason i posted this. theres a lot of new music on the way, so i urge you to find something youre into and fuck with it wholeheartedly. we as artists need your support more than ever, so whether youre into the final four or youre waiting for something more popular like Q Tip’s new album, please get it and stick with it past that first download and listen.
